E.C. Publications, Inc. seeks a Director, Business Strategy & Planning for the Finance department. Position will develop and implement business strategies. Develop and implement operational changes. Drive business process improvement.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with DCE Executives to prioritize, develop and refresh key business strategies, such as Talent Strategy, Digital Strategy, International Strategy, etc.
 - Establish analytical framework for strategy development.
 - Evaluate relevant data such as competitive information, industry trends, and historical performance to develop sound forecasts in support of plans.
 - Develop business case for strategy that includes key assumptions, planned ROI, risks and upside to plan, etc.
 - Update DCE?s overall Business Plan as required.
 - Partner with DCE Executives to identify high priority strategies, relevant stakeholders and responsible parties.
 - Analyze impact of strategic plan on current state processes and workflows.
 - Develop operating model, objectives and tactics necessary to implement strategy.
 - Identify resources, including systems requirements needed to build and maintain the strategy.
 - Develop project plan and timeline to implement strategy.
 - Update stakeholders and DCE Executives on progress and any risks identified.
 - Partner with DCE Executives to identify opportunities for business process improvement.
 - Develop and refine operating processes to align with DCE?s strategic direction and increase efficiencies.
 - Work with other WB departments (i.e. HR, MIS, EFS, FCRA, etc) on change proposals as necessary.
 - Develop project plan and timeline to implement new processes.
 - Update stakeholders and DCE Executives on progress and any risks identified.
 - Other special projects as required.
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- BA/BS degree in Business or related field required.
 - MBA required (or in process).
 - Minimum 8 years experience in consulting, strategic planning, modeling & business process required.
 - Big 4 public accounting or comparable consulting firm experience required.
 - Experience with wide range of business case issues required.
 - Entertainment and/or publishing industry experience preferred.
 - Experience with strategic and business planning.
 - Experience with process and workflow studies.
 - Strong analytical and modeling capabilities.
 - PC Skills: Strong PowerPoint and Visio, Excel & Word required.
 - Strong presentation skills required.
 - Must be able to develop and implement projects.
 - Must have the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with persons on all levels, in person and on the telephone. 
 - Must have the ability to pay close attention to detail and understand written and oral instructions.
 - Must have the ability to organize and schedule work effectively.
 - Must have the ability to multi-task and work well under time constraints.
 - Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
 - Must be able to work independently and meet deadlines.
 - Must be able to travel domestically and internationally.
