Peppers Supermarket, proud supporters of Deming High athletics and activities, will host a tailgate party from 4:30-6 p.m. on Friday in front of the Deming High School on Wildcat Circle Drive. This will be prior to the Class 4A state playoff game between the Roswell Coyotes and the Deming Wildcats. Kick off is at 7 p.m. at DHS Memorial Stadium.
Come and enjoy a hotdog plate, with chips and softdrink for a $3 donation. All of the proceeds will go to Deming interMediate School sixth grader Adam Fofana who his currently being treated for Leukemia at UNM Medical Center in Albuquerque.
The Wildcat Boosters are taking orders for Wildcat Football District Champs T-shirts. They are $15 for small through extra large and $20 for extended sizes. The shirts are available at the DHS Activities Office.
The plan is to cover the stadium in a sea of fans wearing Wildcat colors.

Ticket prices to the game are $8 for adults and $5 for students and children.
Turkey Trot
The 10th annual Turkey Trot, hosted by Ultimate Fitness, is scheduled for 8 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 22) at Voiers' Park on North Country Club Road, This event includes a 3-mile run, 2-mile fun walk and a 1-mile kids' fun run.
The event requires that each entry donates two canned goods to be distributed to Helping Hand Inc.. Monetary donations will be accepted for two families in Deming. Turkey Trot honorees are the families of Bob Orosco and Adam Cabrera.
Registration fees are $15 for the 3-mile run, $12 for walkers and two canned foods for children. Race day entry is $20.
The races starts at 8 a.m. and entrants are urged to be there at least by 7:30 a.m.

1952 - An NBA-record 13 players, five Baltimore Bullets and eight Syracuse Nationals, foul out in an overtime game. The Bullets win 97-91. So many Syracuse players fouled out that the officials let some of the players back into the game so the Nationals could keep five men on the court.
Whenever those players fouled, Baltimore was given a technical foul shot in addition to the free throws.
